Meet the Team

Dr. Caylib Durand, PhD MD FRCPC

Clinical Rheumatologist in Calgary, AB.

Focus is on systemic sclerosis and inflammatory arthritis, but I do see everything.  I help run the bone marrow transplant clinic for SSc in Calgary, and am involved in clinical research in SSc. Most of my training was done at UBC in Vancouver with specialty training done in Calgary AB. My PhD is in Immunology with a focus on B cell activation, signaling, trafficking, and function.  I worked on understanding how this was dysregulated in autoimmune diseases and worked on new therapeutic options to resolve autoimmunity.

Dr. Jason J Lee, MD PhD FRCPC

Clinical Rheumatologist in Calgary, AB.

My primary expertise is in systemic sclerosis with a focus on understanding the disease associated microvasculopathy and fibrosis. My PhD thesis work examined the impact of cell and tissue aging, and specifically the role of sirtuins in vascular smooth muscle cells and pericytes, in muscle regeneration following ischemic injury. My secondary interests include development and implementation of new technologies that further empower the patient to actively participate in their health care.
